Let me introduce... Ben!!

I had the great honor today to do Ben's newborn shoot.  Ben turned 10 days old today and celebrated it with a grand photo shoot.  He was the perfect newborn model.  We only had one tinkle accident during the whole session.  His Mommy and Daddy both came along for the session.

Wes and Beth have always loved sports so it seemed only fitting to take at least one sports inspired shot.  They brought a glove and the bat and we pulled out the baseball hat.  Ben was just happy to have his tummy full and snoozed through it all!

Loved this shot of Ben resting in his Daddy's hands.

My lovely assistant/awesome sister-in-law helped out with the shoot.  Tammie has helped with almost all of my newborn shoots.  I don't know what I would do without her.  Ben definitely made it easy for us to get shot after shot today.

I am very happy for Wes and Beth.  They have two beautiful daughters and now they have little Ben to complete their family.  I am so proud that I got to be a part of it all and help them capture some memories of this very special time!

The View from My Front Porch

Ok, so maybe this seems corny to a lot of people, but for those who live in the country not much beats some good front porch sittin' time. We love our home in the holler. I don't get to sit very often but today was one of those wonderful rare opportunities to just sit and enjoy.

Take me out to the ballfield!

Okay, okay.... so I've been a little neglectful of my blog. I promise to try to do MUCH better. It's been such a busy year! I've been working on little league pictures like crazy. I have a shoot tonight, tomorrow, and the day after that. It is so unseasonably hot right now that it makes the pictures a challenge. My little baseball/softball players are hot and red faced for their pictures. I appreciate the parents and coaches who have asked me to take their pictures for them this year.

Let's Book It

Yea! I finished my first Mixbook. It took awhile to get it done but I like it. You can make your own Mixbook if you want and publish it or have it printed as a hardback or softback book. I will be offering books in some of my photo packages.

Kyle, Amy, Tyler, and Megan at Natural Falls

We got in a photo shoot on Friday when the weather was beautiful. Now there is a foot of snow on the ground....wow, we made a smart move rescheduling our shoot and doing it a day early. I met up with Amy and Kyle with their friends Tyler and Megan. We had a lot of fun and we totally enjoyed the beauty of Dripping Springs in the Natural Falls State Park in West Siloam Springs.
We did some fun couple shots and a few friend shots of all 4 of them together. We laughed so much throughout the shoot. Megan was relatively quiet when we started out. That changed quickly when she met up with a spider on a log. She got all of our attention when she leapt from her pose into Tyler's arms yelling SPIDER. Another bright spot in the day way when we got to see Amy try to teach Kyle to two-step. It was a beautiful morning and I guarantee I got a workout from traipsing up and down the hills and valleys.

Happy Birthday Danny

Aimee called and said her dad was turning 50 and they wanted some family shots to commemorate the occasion. So after a mad dash home from a basketball game in Locust Grove, Mom and I made it to the birthday party to take some family pictures. We took some big family shots as well as some smaller family group pics.
HAPPY 50th BIRTHDAY
Aimee wanted to do this for her dad as a special birthday gift. I think he will love it!

Williams Family

Ran over to Tim and Lisa Williams house today to take pictures of the entire Williams clan. Sharon and Roger Williams had all their boys with their families together with them for Christmas. We got some family pictures, a few of the grandkids and Keith allowed me to take a few pictures of him and his wife Jennifer. It was good to see Keith. He was one of my seniors during my first year at WHS. I tried to get him to say I was his favorite teachers but had to settle for "one" of my favorite teachers.

Jenna was running a fever but she hung in there for our picture taking session. Jerry and I tried to work on our comedy act (to make the kids smile) by balancing a bowl of M & M's on my head but it didn't go well. We're going to have to work on it!
